The first weekend of September, I had the great pleasure of being a part of the Smoky Mountain Grand Slam, a benefit tournament put on by the Knoxville Chapter of Project Healing Waters. As many of you know, Project Healing Waters is an amazing organization committed to helping out our veterans through fly fishing, and the Smoky Mountain Grand Slam is just one of the many ways they do it. As part of our efforts to work with Project Healing Waters and benefit our veterans as much as possible, we act as the gear sponsor for the tournament. This year, each veteran received one of our Alluvion rods and one of our reels. And while I personally did a horrible job catching fish in the tournament itself, the amount of pure enjoyment that not only I but everyone involved had over the weekend was written in the smiles on our faces
