Fly Products...ARC Fishing Pt. 1: Fly Lines

ARC Fishing "Fly Product" Showcase Part 1: Fly Lines-

Born in 2014 and introduced to the world at IFTD 2014, ARC (Angling Research Company) Fishing has moved into the market by filling gaps where product design has yet to go. They are "a company dedicated to innovation and angler-centric technology in pursuit of the highest performance fly lines, leaders, and tippet material for fly fisherman of all skill levels." With an initial focus on leaders, tippet, and lines, they have brought their own mix of technology that simply makes sense.

ARC Fishing initially launched with 6 different fly lines, 3 different types of tippets that range from 0X-7X, and one type of leader that comes in 3 different lengths. Lets run through the lineup and lay out what each has to offer over the course of the next three days, starting with the fly lines...

Here is their story...

"We launched ARC Fishing with an ambitious goal: to demonstrate there’s still plenty of opportunity for innovation in the tippet, fly line and leader markets.

Along the way, we’ve partnered with world-class manufacturers who share our passion for fly fishing, combining materials knowledge and manufacturing expertise to create the most technically advanced and versatile tippet, leaders, and fly lines on the market today. All designed with a single purpose: to help you land more fish.
Our design philosophy emphasizes simplicity, but not at the expense of performance. ARC products are packed with the latest features and technologies, including some market firsts. And, all designed to deliver unmatched performance under the most demanding fishing conditions.
As one of the industry’s newest companies, we’re committed to earning your business. We know the only way to do that is to offer products with a clear advantage over the competition.
But don’t take our word for it. Take our products to a river, lake or the flats to see what they can do. We’re confident you won’t be disappointed.

We look forward to talking to you about the full line of ARC Fishing products and seeing you on the water!"

"ARC Fly Lines are at the forefront of fly fishing technology. But were also committed to making fly line selection easy for anglers of all experience levels. ARC freshwater, saltwater and specialty lines are all designed to be the longest casting, highest floating, easiest mending lines on the market."

"Zing is the sound of fly line shooting through the guides. And the sound of a screaming reel with a fish on.

It’s also a visual representation of some of the key technologies that set our fly lines apart and ahead of the competition."

ZONE

When it comes to fly lines, suppleness is both a plus and a minus. Supple lines throw loops easier, shoot farther and have less memory. But supple lines have their limitations. Summer heat can cause them to wilt and stick in the guides, robbing you of critical casting distance. We solved this problem by incorporating a slightly harder, lower compression material beginning at the high-wear haul and running zones and identifying this transition point with a line color change.
The bottom line — ARC Fishing lines maintain their performance characteristics no matter what kind of day Mother Nature throws at you.

NANO

Small Molecules’ Big Benefits. PTFE is one of the slickest, most hydrophobic compounds known to man. By applying Nano technology to permanently incorporate PTFE molecules into our freshwater fly lines, we’ve taken fly line performance to the next level.
Our fly lines utilizing this proprietary technology float higher, cast farther and mend easier than competitive lines with conventional surface coatings.
And because the PTFE Nano molecules are permanently incorporated into our lines, you don’t have to worry about them washing or wearing off over time.

GROOVE

This one is simple physics. The grooved design of our fly lines significantly reduces friction during the casting stroke. Lower friction equals easier, longer, more accurate casts. It’s that simple.

ARC99
Built around our 6% low-stretch Response Core, the ARC 99 series sets the new standard for all-around freshwater fly lines. The premium ARC 99 features the latest advancements in line design, including transition Zones, a super high floating permanent Nano PTFE coating and a low-friction, grooved line profile. We call this ZNG Technology, and it makes the ARC 99 one of the longest casting, highest floating and easiest mending fly lines on the market today. Available in WF3 - WF8. MSRP: $79.95

ARC99+
Designed for today’s faster action fly rods, the ARC 99+ is a half line size heavier and features a more condensed taper than standard true-to-size fly lines. This additional weight and specialized taper design loads fast action rods easier, resulting in longer, more accurate casts. Built around our 6% low-stretch Response Core, the ARC 99+ incorporates the latest advancements in fly line design, including transition Zones, a super high floating permanent Nano PTFE coating and a low-friction, grooved line profile. We call this ZNG Technology. This makes the ARC 99+ one of the longest casting, highest floating and easiest mending fly lines on the market today. Available in WF3 - WF8. MSRP: $79.95

ARC DRY FLY
Featuring an extended front taper and the latest advancements in fly line design and materials, the specialized ARC Dry Fly line is the perfect choice for the delicate presentation of dry flies to wary trout. A 6% low-stretch Response Core gives this line extraordinary feel and hook setting ability. The ARC Dry Fly line also features ZNG Technology, including performance enhancing transition zones, a super high floating permanent Nano PTFE coating, and a low-friction, grooved line profile. Available in WF5.
 MSRP: $79.95

ARC99 SALT
The ARC 99 Salt, our multi-species tropical fly line, is the perfect choice for anglers fishing in a variety of warm climates. The all-round ARC 99 Salt is built around a 6% low-stretch Response Core for superior line sensitivity and improved hook set and features a hard cover that will stand up to the harshest tropical conditions. A grooved line profile reduces guide friction and hang-up, resulting in longer more accurate casts. All ARC 99 Salt fly lines feature a durable, 100% polyurethane cover mixed with a super-slick, hydrophobic PTFE fluoropolymer for extended life and superior line float. Available in WF7 - WF10.
 MSRP: $79.95

ARC BONEFISH/REDFISH
Stalking bones, reds and other flats species requires a line that loads rods at close range and front and back tapers that produce great turnover while maintaining stability on longer casts. We incorporated those key performance features and more into the ARC Bonefish/Redfish fly line. With its 6% low-stretch Response Core, the ARC Bonefish/Redfish features a hard outer layer that won’t wilt in the tropical heat. Other features include a durable, 100% polyurethane cover mixed with a super-slick, hydrophobic PTFE fluoropolymer for extended life and superior line float. Available in WF7 - WF9. MSRP: $79.95

ARC TARPON
We’ve packed the ARC Tarpon with all the technologies and features important to saltwater anglers targeting tarpon and other large tropical species. Custom front and rear tapers help you throw flies with ease and hold longer casts on target. Built around our super-sensitive, 6% low-stretch Response Core, the ARC Tarpon features a hard 100% polyurethane outer layer that maintains its performance features in the hottest tropical environments. A slick, high float PTFE fluoropolymer coating and a grooved line profile reduces friction, producing powerful more accurate shots. Available in WF10 - WF12.
 MSRP: $79.95
