MASTERY TEXTURED FLY LINES
I have been been using a lot of fly lines over the past year and thinking back almost all of them have been of the Scientific Anglers Mastery Textured variety.  The Nymph/Indicator and Magnum fly lines have been getting a lot of play on a few of my glass fly rods with big flies and I can't say enough good about them.  Sure, you can hear the fly line moving through the guides a bit more than other lines but I really dig the tapers and I am getting more distance out of these textured fly lines than anything else I've cast.      
SYSTEM 4 FLY REEL 
This past summer Geoff Samples of S.A./Ross Reels put one of the new System 4 fly reels in my hands and certainly was impressed.  It's a lot of fly reel for $200 to $250 depending on the size. 

One neat aspect of the System 4 fly reel is that it's made in Montrose, Colorado and not offshore somewhere which further proves the price point of these fly reels makes sense for the level of quality and function they provide.  The System 4 series of fly reels are available in the  three sizes of 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8.

FRESHWATER TIPPET
New for 2012 has been the reintroduction of S.A.'s tippet with a redesigned spool and badging.  The new tippet spool design includes a cutter, a center hub which allows spools to spin independently when snapped together, and UV inhibiting spools.  Freshwater Tippet is available in seventeen different test choices from OX to 40 pound test spools.
