Please note that the email to use for the 12 Days of Christmas giveaways is tfmcontests@gmail.com.
There have been several companies that continue to impress me each year with their offerings and it only seemed natural to pair two of them up as the 12 Days of Christmas begins to wind down. We're on Day 11 in case you aren't keeping score.
KORKERS
I've been wearing several different Korkers wading boots over the last few years and it has seemed that with every new generation that they get more right about the design and materials used. When I put hands on the KGB wading boot atIFTD this past summer I was immediately impressed. Gone was the Boa System but in it's place was a very solidly constructed and lightweight wading boot with high ankle support and a durable rubber upper that will not easily wear out. I just received a media sample of these boots and will soon get them wet for a follow up review.
All that needs to be said about the Fisherman's Moc andDrifter Moc is that they are super comfortable and you're likely to get called out by your jealous co-workers for wearing your "slippers" to work. Haters gonna hate...but I happily wear them still around the office.
MONTANA FLY COMPANY
For the past couple years Montana Fly Company has really stepped their game up and their offerings, from flies to tying materials to fly boxes to various other gear, continues to be impressive. Last year the Boat Box was the must have fly box and for this coming year look for the Waterproof Fly Caseto be on your wish list. This fly box is a great size and has a ton of room for your favorite streamers and saltwater patterns. The see through lid is great as well.
MFC has put together a lot of gear items which incorporate the artwork of their growing list of artists and some of these images are ending up on their Madison fly reels. These fly reels function flawlessly, are priced reasonably, and certainly spruce up a fly rod with some artistic flair.
