Can so I hate to say. The Alaskan govt. under pressure from the mining and oil/gas lobby and unwilling to set a precedent of this magnitude can do what they want. The Federal step of using the EPA will stop this but add to that administration's already suspect agenda as seen by Alaskans. I have fought for the mine's dissolution with TU especially, but having lived in Alaska for years I knoe the mind set. Knock on wood all these worthwhile organizations have a lot of sway somewhere to someone who cares.
