Trip Day #7

Went to New Inlet yesterday again and started off with bait...I know...sorry about it. Just nibbles, not commitments by fish. I put away the surf rod and picked up my fly rod after spotting half a dozen mullet and a 4-5' long Houndfish. One follow, no takes.

We rented paddle boards from Real Watersports and took them in the ocean and up the inlet into the sound. While on the boards, we spotted two more Houndfish, two skates, a few more mullet, a bunch of crabs, and a sea turtle.

I've been getting some great footage with the GoPro, just wish it was of me hooking up on a fish... I'm going all out on Friday and fishing from first light till its time to leave around 4pm. I may head over to Oregon Inlet again today and wade the flats for trout and blues. I JUST WANT ONE FISH! I feel like everyone catches more fish than me... Maybe I should just hang up the rod for good...
