Tight Lined Tales of a Fly Fisherman: NBD Steps Their Game Up

Check it, Nature Boy Designs founder, Keith Westra and I have emailed back and forth a bit since I last talked about NBD back in November. He just notified me the other day that he had put some new "bomb proof" rod tube designs online so I headed over to the site to check them out and damn, legit. The designs are custom painted by Keith himself and come in at $200. Not bad for a custom, indestructible rod tube if you ask me. I have yet to try out his lanyard but it should be in the mail soon. I just found out that he also makes the lanyards based on your brand of waders, true custom. Check out the new rod tube designs, "Nothing But Natural" and "RedBellied Snake", below:

In addition to the new tubes, NBD is also doing some custom fly orders now too. Here's what they say on their site about the custom flies:
