Cheeky Hook Up...

So I made an order for a Cheeky Stash Reel Case and wow. Its big enough to fit a large saltwater reel in. Not only did I get it quick as hell but damn, it came with a can hugger and sticker. Love it, awesome, check it...

For those of you who don't know Cheeky, they are yet another company who has their shit together. I can only dream of running a company like theirs one day. They make legit reels and legit "swag" aka gear. They were just featured in Fly Fisherman magazine and definitely make a reel worth saving for. Thats what you have to do too, save, because the only flaw I believe the company has is the price of their reels...Their original reel, the Mojo 425 is $690 which is aimed towards inshore saltwater fishing. Heres the info from the site...

We have heard a million fly fishing stories.  The best ones are not about the biggest fish or the one that got away, but those days when the fish are stacked up like pancakes.  Tailing redfish or bonefish as far as the eye can see, schools of stripers ten deep against the rocks, or an epic five fish day on your favorite steelhead or Atlantic salmon river is what the Mojo 425 is all about.
Versatility is key in fly fishing and that’s exactly what the Mojo 425 provides.  At 7.3 oz and 4.25” in diameter, it’s the ultimate all-around saltwater reel and the ideal weapon for your big freshwater excursions.
Features:
  • KarbonEVO Sealed Disk Drag
  • MAX Arbor (4.25” diameter)
  • B2 Channel
  • Lightweight Design (7.3 oz)
  • Quick Change Spool with TiLock Mating System
  • Stealth Mode
  • Simple L/R Retrieve Conversion
  • Made in the USA
REEL: $690.00
SPARE SPOOL: $340

Their other reel, the Ambush 375, is aimed towards those larger freshwater fish like steelhead. This one is around $640...not cheap. But from what I heard, worth it for the quality. One day... I think I'll probably get my Nautilus first. But for now, heres the info from their site...

What happens when a field mouse accidentally falls into a trout infested river?  Same thing that happens when an ambitious frog swims over a bass nest, it gets violently ambushed by the resident beast beneath the bank.  Let’s presume those tempting terrestrials are made of foam and rigged to your Ambush 375 … looks like you’ve scored a match made in heaven.
The Ambush 375 checks in at 5.0 oz and 3.75” in diameter.  From spring fed creeks and rivers to deep water lakes, it is a must have for the arsenal of all freshwater fly fishermen.
Features:
  • KarbonEVO Sealed Disk Drag
  • MAX Arbor (3.75” diameter)
  • B2 Channel
  • Lightweight Design (5.0 oz)
  • Quick Change Spool with TiLock Mating System
  • Stealth Mode
  • Simple L/R Retrieve Conversion
  • Made in the USA
REEL: $640.00
SPARE SPOOL: $320
