And the Moral of the Story is...

So I went up to Angler's (a local fishing and hunting stop in Annapolis that also has a great fly fishing section) http://www.anglerssportcenter.com/ to grab some fly-tying stuff. They had everything I needed from bucktails to flash, all at a really really great price! I noticed they had a good selection of fly rods, all top of the line models (with top of the line prices...$400-$700), from Sage to Orvis. As I was browsing through them I noticed one rod in the back with some dust on it and a "sale" tag. I grabbed it to take a look, it was an Orvis Clearwater Classic...8'6" 5 wt. I thought to my self, "Wow, they actually have one of these rods on sale...probably is around $250 or so". I was very wrong...it was $150, a steal. In one of my previous posts, the Rod Review one, I mentioned how I was in the market for a new 5 wt...well, I found my rod. The guy at the counter made this find of a lifetime all that much better by selling the rod to me for under $100 because they had had it for awhile. It's in great condition, brand new and came with the Orvis 25 year unlimited warranty, amazing. As soon as I get to test this bad boy out, I will absolutely review it!

So, the moral of the story is...SUPPPORT YOUR LOCAL FISHING SHOP! I wish I could stress this enough, it really helps them out these days (especially against the big names...Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc.). You also never know what kind of steal you may walk away with!

Tight Lines...Morgan
